Oh hi, I’m Melissa

“When you finally find your passion in life, your *job* no longer feels like anything but meaningful and purposeful. This is where I am, loving what I do.”

It’s nice to meet you.

I started as a jewelry designer in Los Angeles for about ten years and now work in architecture and interior design. I graduated from Northern Arizona University with Summa Cum Laude and got my Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, and obtained certification in Event Planning. I have had creative jobs since I was a little girl, and bringing that into a lifelong career has completed my journey. Whether designing costumes, furniture, or jewelry, I’m motivated by my desire to design and create something compelling.

AreaEdit is a boutique interior design studio founded in 2021. We service clients in Phoenix, Los Angeles, and beyond, specializing in white glove service down to the very end of the project. Our unique creative approach and technical qualifications in the interior design field set us apart. Today, AreaEdit uses in-depth knowledge and passion for good design as we approach every project with care. We know that working with a designer is not just the end product but the whole experience! We aim to create beautiful spaces.

Beyond Interior Design

We Give Back

We donate 5% of agreement fees to bring “home” to those in need via Chrysalis.

We Build Awareness

We never stop bringing awareness to those needing shelter and use our marketing efforts to keep this need at the forefront of people's minds.

We Take Action

Actions should always follow our words. We are committed to holding ourselves accountable and our partners (vendors, designers, clients, etc.) to being people of integrity.

We Serve

We are always in service to our clients, our community, and each other, but we go beyond by partnering with established organizations and enabling our partners and clients to be part of a bigger story.

We Learn

Learning is a process, not a destination. We value new information, changing opinions, considering all perspectives, and believe in keeping open minds and open hearts. We also believe in taking action when discoveries are made.

We Love Certification

We believe that being NCIDQ and LEED certified is important in what we do.
